What PRP treatments involve
PRP is prepared by drawing your blood, concentrating the platelets, and injecting the result — used in orthopaedics, aesthetics (e.g. skin and hair) and other areas to support healing or rejuvenation.
What to consider when choosing a clinic
Evidence differs a lot by indication: there is reasonable support for some orthopaedic and dermatologic uses and weaker evidence for others, and broad 'whole-plasma' anti-aging claims specifically have not held up in rigorous trials. Preparation methods and concentrations also vary between providers. Ask about the specific indication, the evidence for it, and the practitioner's experience.
